Aim | To enable the poor access medical services and prevent the further spread of HIV/AIDS and to mitigate personal, community impact of AIDS, through provision of quality medical care and counseling services to the infected and affected. | |||

Working hours | The working hours are from 08.00 to 17.00. the volunteer will be able to take the weekends off to travel to Kampala or tour other parts of the city | |||
Transport | The centre is located in Bombo town about 33 kilometers from Kampala, along the Kampala Gulu high way. Transport to the center will take 30 – 45 minutes drive from Kampala, with an estimated cost of about 3,000 Uganda shilling (one-way). | |||
Accommodation | Accommodation is arranged at the centre for Volunteers. | |||
Comments from UPA | St. Luke health centre Bombo requires a person that is able to take initiative and not wait for some one to tell them what to do. Preference will be on volunteers with a Medical background. It is a wonderful project to try. | |||
Communication | Many of the people working at the center can speak English. However the clients that come to be treated may not be able to speak English and a translator will be required for the communication
