Background The School is Christian founded and Non-denominational, it started in 2005, currently it has 11 teachers and 332 pupils from the age of 3-13 years. The School is Non-Governmental institution without financiers catering majorly for the orphans and disadvantaged children.
Aim
  • To provide quality level of education to both the orphans and the disadvantaged Children
Activities
  • Teach children of the age of 3-13 years in the subjects of English, Mathematics, and Nutritional Science.
  • Play games with children for example football, netball, volleyball and drama
  • Share with children about Geography, History, Sociology, Educational system and the development strategies of your country.

 

Volunteer tasks
  • To teach mainly Mathematics, English and Nutritional Science
  • Play games/ drama with the children
  • Share with children about Geography, History, Sociology, Educational system and the development strategies of your country.

 

Volunteer qualities
  • Experience in teaching desirable but not necessary
  • Have Love for Children
  • Adaptable to the local teaching culture in Uganda
  • Not expected to smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol and wines at school

Comments from UPA Lubya Community Infant school is a new project for UPA. We are also looking forward for what it will offer for the volunteers.
